“The Lofts at City Center, a mixed-used project from Real Property Group LLC, is set to break ground later this week.
The $14 million project includes 67 luxury apartments, 10,000 square feet of office space and just under 100 private parking spaces.
According to a release from the Kansas City-based developer, the apartments will be maintenance-free and have community amenities like a pool, courtyard, communal entertaining kitchens, fire pits, a gaming center and a fitness center.
Hal Shapiro, a partner in Real Property Group, said in the release that the aim is to create a boutique apartment complex that is rich in both art and community.
“These folks want to be part of a small, artsy and cool community in walkable locations and they still want to have all of the features and conveniences of larger projects,” he said in the release.
The architect is Finkle + Williams Architecture and the general contractor is Titan Built.
Located on the northern portion of a plot of land at 87th Street Parkway and Renner Boulevard, the project joins a slew of completed, proposed and under construction developments at Lenexa City Center. Most notably, the addition of a sprawling Advent Health wellness campus, which would include a 200-bed hospital, was proposed earlier this spring.”
