"There’s roughly 1.5 million square feet of industrial space left to be developed in Block Real Estate Services LLC’s 348-acre Lenexa Logistics Centre.
Approximately 1.1 million of the undeveloped chunk sits within the Lenexa Logistics Centre North, just east of Mill Creek Road and College Boulevard. Lenexa Logistics Centre North is one of three industrial parks that make up the larger logistics center.
Last spring, workers began mass grading and utilities installation on the 148.5-acre site, which is planned to house a total of 12 buildings. Four of the buildings are complete, and a 200,800-square-foot MS International Inc. distribution facility is almost finished.
Roughly 3.1 million square feet of industrial space has been developed across Lenexa Logistics Centre, according to the real estate firm’s marketing documents.
Elsewhere in the industrial site, the 79-acre Lenexa Logistics Centre East, northeast of 119th Street and Renner Road, is almost fully leased. One of the three remaining buildings in Lenexa Logistics Centre South, southwest of Renner Road and College Boulevard, is under construction.
Block previously said Lenexa Logistics Centre has proven to be a "dynamic" industrial park, with interest from tenants seeking to be "right in the middle of the action" in the Kansas City area. It has easy access to Interstates 35 and 435, plus Kansas Highway 10."
